SWIMMING, FIELD TRIPS, GAMES, and lots more!
These are just a few things we'll have fun doing along with guest speakers, projects, and crafts that the children will be enjoying.
Worship
Every other Monday, children will gather in the gym for our Bible stories, devotionals, and music.
Swimming
The children will have the opportunity to swim every day, except on days when there is an OFF-SITE FIELD TRIP. Swim times will be between 9am and 4pm and vary according to daily activities for each group.
Each child should bring the following items for swimming each day: swim suit, towel, sunscreen, brush or comb, and a plastic sack (Wal-Mart) for wet clothes. Children with long hair should also bring a pony tail holder to put their hair up while they swim. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME!
SLIP-ON SHOES MAY BE BROUGHT AND WORN TO THE POOL ONLY. REGULAR PLAY SHOES ARE NEEDED AND SHOULD BE WORN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY. ANY CHILD NOT WEARING APPROPRIATE SHOES FOR PLAY MAY HAVE TO SIT OUT OF CERTAIN ACTIVITIES.
Snacks/ Lunches
CCA will provide a morning and afternoon snack. Children should bring their lunch each day unless otherwise indicated. CCA will provide beverages for snack and lunch times. A drink machine is available for children to purchase a soft drink or juice during lunch and/ or afternoon snack time. The cost for these are $1 - $1.75.
Rest Time
Time will be made available for children to rest each day. Rest time will last according to the length of the movie chosen to watch during this time. Children are encouraged to rest their bodies so they will be ready for the activities that will occur in the afternoon. Children may bring a book during this time to read quietly if they prefer. TRAVEL SIZE PILLOWS and blankets may be brought for individual use only. However, these items MUST be able to fit in a bag that can hang on their assigned hook.
Field Trips
Field Trips are generally scheduled from 9am-4pm. We will leave promptly at the scheduled departure time. Due to DHS Transportatopm rules NO PICK UPS OR DROP OFFS ARE ALLOWED AT FIELD TRIP SITES!
Children should wear their CCA summer field trip shirt, other appropriate clothing, and comfortable tennis shoes to each field trip. Each child may also bring a hat or visor and water bottle with them on field trips if needed; however, it is the child’s responsibility to keep up with these. We always take big coolers of ice water on field trips. Parents will be given a list of the offsite field trips with departure and approximate return times as well as what costs CCA covers for each field trip.
